Springtime at the Lake

My favorite place to paint and I have rendered several versions of this scene. It is Santa Margarita Lake, which has changed somewhat over time.  I love the foreground shadow on an unseen Blue Oak. For the last few years, the California drought reduced the lake to an ugly, muddy sludge, so coming upon this view once again, after the prodigious rains we've had, was a great delight.
