My Muse of Inspiration
Painted on wood board, using cold wax and oil paint with a line of silver leaf toward the top. The happy accident in this painting is the eye in the upper left-center, therefore the title.

Abstract #1
This painting is my first abstract, therefore the title. It is painted on canvas, with textured underlay of flake white, a lead based oil paint. The size is 18" x 36". I loved pushing the paint around for this image.
Valley Barnstead
This image is painted on a wood panel that has been primed with two coats of gesso, then one coat of lead oil ground. Painting on wood panes dates back centuries, but is a new and wonderful experience for me. If the painting is a failure, it can be sanded down when dry, then recoated with lead oil ground, and, viola, a new painting surface.
