This week, Monday Morning Painters was invited once again to Truett-Hurst Winery, and I selected these red chairs at the back of the winery to paint, with the sound of Dry Creek flowing in the background. Yes, I did put the umbrella in the exact center of the painting, but I think the red chairs offset my compositional error.

Patterns of Spring
This view is just off Highway 101, near Geyserville.
The fog is lifting and the mustard is just beginning to bloom.
In the Shadow of the Bridge
I took this photograph while in Sydney, Australia about 30 years ago.
It wasn't until I started this painting that I became aware of the shadow and what it represented.
