Because January has been so dry, very little mustard is blooming, but out painting in Kenwood a couple weeks ago, we found one of the few fields of mustard under a walnut orchard. The mustard took on a neon glow; the leafless branches appeared soft and slightly mauve to my eye. This painting seems in need of a counter weight on the left side, so it may not be finished.

Outstanding! Feels like a tale from a French impressionist many years ago. I think it's very well balanced. Love the color.
